Planning and Scheduling under Uncertainty in Enterprise-wide Optimization
System representation, mathematical formulation by means of optimization theory, computational simulation, and industrial application and validation are the cornerstones of the planning and scheduling community. These general principles are used to develop frameworks aimed at managing the various operational components of a chemical firm. Short-term and medium-term scheduling, integrated operational planning and medium-term scheduling, planning and scheduling under various forms of uncertainty, operational multisite planning, and supply chain management are all areas of active research within the Floudas Group. The central goal of the aforementioned research is to develop sophisticated, robust, and industrially relevant frameworks aimed at improving process efficiency and profitability.
